She has little butterfly wings that attach to her dress with velcro.
Her eyes have been painted to match the butterfly, with reflection and shading to give them depth. I hope you like her - let me know what you think!
My next project is to start on a new handmade doll...

Now, how did you get Paloma to let you put this little cutie up for sale?? She would have been my dream doll when I was Paloma's age! She's so sweet.
Thank you! Paloma watched closely as I worked on this one, and did ask me if I could make her one, too...
She's so lovely! You wouldn't happen to know how to re-string Sasha dolls, would you?
Thanks! Sasha dolls aren't that difficult to restring. There's a tutorial on a German web site:
http://www.sashadolls.de
click on "hospital"
then scroll down to the bottom of the page.
It's in German, but the photos are pretty self-explanatory.
I love the way you have painted her eyes. My one gripe with Sasha dolls is the often wishwashy painting on their faces, but you have made her look more natural and real. Is her wig original, or have you rerooted it?
Thanks! The older Sashas had hand-painted eyes that are often quite lovely, but I do agree with you - the later ones do have wimpy eyes. She's been given a new wig. I've tried rerooting and it's VERY tedious!
